The Stability Fund has 14 principles that guide how we operate.  These are all important to us, but top of the list is the principle of ‘local ownership first’.  This principle guides the Stability Fund to avoid investments that impose external solutions; focusing instead on safeguarding, stimulating, facilitating and creating the space for Somalis to organise themselves and solve their own problems. This month we focus on some examples of this principle in action.
